Will the Drop - In Series System for the L5P Create Excessive Back Pressure on the Lift Pump? No! After lots of engineering and testing, the FASS R&D team reduced the pressure drop by about 1 PSI compared to the OEM filtration system. They did this by making the internal ports bigger for better flow and adding great filtration.
Why Does the Drop - In Series for the L5P Utilize an OEM Water Separator? We use the OEM water separator because of the design of the OEM water in fuel sensor/fuel heater. Fass is the only Drop - In style system that lets the water in fuel sensor work properly as it should be on the dirty side of the water separator element to detect water in time. With the Drop - In Series FASS, your water in fuel light and fuel heater will work as they should!
