- Two thermostats are included. You'll only use one when replacing your bypass thermostat. This kit doesn't include the Cummins thermostat. When used with MY94 - MY2002 kits, only 3 of the 4 O - rings are needed.
Using this coolant bypass service kit is easy. First, make sure your engine is cool before starting the replacement process. When replacing the bypass thermostat, choose one of the two included thermostats. Remember, this kit doesn't come with the Cummins thermostat. If you're using it with a MY94 - MY2002 kit, only use 3 of the 4 O - rings. After installation, check for any coolant leaks. For maintenance, keep an eye on the coolant level regularly. If you notice any drops in performance or abnormal engine temperatures, it might be time to check the parts in the kit again.
