The XWS3002XL is a new extreme water separator from Fass Fuel Systems, replacing the FS - 1001. It fits Fass Fuel Systems' Competition, Industrial, Drop - In, Titanium, and Titanium Signature Series. This separator is highly efficient, rated at 2 - micron absolute. The filter element can trap over 99% of the water, eliminating the need for a water separator drain. It extends service intervals and has a life expectancy of up to 30,000 miles. Part Number: XWS3002XL, supersedes Part No: XWS - 3002 XL. Note that the New XWS3002XL must be used with the PF3001XL, and new filters can't be used with old ones like FF - 3003 or FS - 1001. When replacing old filters, place the XWS3002XL on the pressure side of the pump and the PF3001XL on the suction side. Refer to the location diagram on the new filters for proper placement.
