If you're using an Edge color monitor in your diesel truck, you can keep tabs on lots of engine and powertrain stats. But without this optional EGT probe, you're missing the key thing - your exhaust gas temperature (EGT).
This probe works with Edge's EAS (Expandable Accessory System), so you can connect multiple sensors if you need to. It also works great on its own with your existing monitor. With a 15 - foot lead, you can easily swap out just the probe later without changing the whole harness.

Using this EGT kit is easy. First, make sure your Edge CTS2 or CTS3 monitor is properly set up in your diesel truck. Then, connect the EGT sensor to the Edge EAS adapter and attach the adapter to your monitor. If you need to connect multiple sensors, use the expandable design to daisy - chain them. When it comes to the extension cable, use it to place the sensor where you need it. As for maintenance, keep the sensor clean and check the connections regularly. If the probe gets damaged, you can simply replace it without having to change the whole harness. Be careful when installing or handling the sensor to avoid any damage. Also, always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your specific monitor model.
