Fits

This mounting kit is perfect for 2001 - 2010 Chevy and GMC trucks. It works with 1 - ton and 3/4 - ton trucks, both 2WD and 4WD, with a rear lift of 0 - 6 feet. Note that the kit doesn't include the Recoil Traction Bar (BDS123409), which you need to buy separately. BDS Suspension's RECOIL traction bar system is a game - changer. It boosts traction, limits axle wrap, and doesn't affect suspension travel or ride quality.

Using the 2001 - 2010 Duramax 0 - 6 Lift Recoil Traction Bar Mounting Kit is straightforward. First, make sure your vehicle is one of the compatible models (2001 - 2010 Chevy or GMC 1 - ton or 3/4 - ton trucks, 2WD or 4WD with 0 - 6' rear lift). Remember, you need to buy the Recoil Traction Bar separately. When installing, follow the included instructions. There might be minor drilling required for the frame mount installation. Also, you may need to relocate the E - Brake cable bracket. For maintenance, regularly check the traction bar ends and grease them as needed. They are rebuildable, so if there's any wear, you can easily fix them. You can adjust the spring preload on the vehicle without disassembling the bar. Make adjustments according to how you use your truck, like for on - road driving, towing, or off - roading. Keep in mind that this kit doesn't fit regular cab or long bed models, and the shorter the distance, the more loaded the springs will be.
