As your engine's cylinder pressures, spring pressures, and RPM go up, the stress on your factory pushrods exceeds their design limits. If your ISB engine has over 500hp, you should upgrade to our heavy - duty pushrods. And if it's over 750hp, our extreme duty pushrods are a must.

• Push Rod Specs: 3/8' x .120 Wall. Don't go for light - duty stock replacements with only .083 wall thickness.

• If your ISB engine has over 750hp, high cylinder pressures mean you need Smeding Diesel's extreme duty pushrods.
• Push Rod Specs: 3/8' x .120 wall intake pushrod and a 7/16' .120' exhaust pushrod.

These Cummins push rods are designed for 1998.5 - 2018 Dodge Ram with 5.9L or 6.7L 24V Cummins engines. When installing, make sure your engine meets the horsepower requirements for each type of push rod. If your engine has over 500hp, use the heavy - duty push rods, and if it's over 750hp, go for the extreme heavy - duty ones. Remember, these are special - order parts made in Texas, so they may take a bit longer to arrive. If you're in a rush, contact the seller. For maintenance, regularly check the push rods for any signs of wear and tear. Keep them clean and lubricated to ensure smooth operation and long - lasting performance.
