• Use it with Banks devices and Retractable Steps.
• Don't use it with Banks devices and third - party OBD monitors at the same time.
• Most vehicle ECMs can communicate with only one diagnostic device at a time. Using this splitter may cause one device not to work properly as the ECM has to choose between them.

Using this Universal OBDII Splitter is easy. Just plug it into your vehicle's OBDII port. Then, you can connect two devices to it. But remember, it's for use with Banks devices and Retractable Steps. Don't use it with Banks devices and third - party OBD monitors together. Since most vehicle ECMs can only talk to one diagnostic device at a time, one of your devices might not work right when using the splitter. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. If it gets dirty, you can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or moisture to make sure it lasts a long time.
