Customers often wonder if they need a harness. The answer is yes! This relay harness directly draws power from your car battery to supply stable voltage to your HID ballasts. No one wants flickering headlights, so why take the risk? Factory headlight outputs are mainly for halogen bulbs, not HID ballasts.
Each 40A relay is well - sealed against the elements with ribbed silicone upper and lower seals and has a flywheel diode for back - EMF protection. All other connections in the harness are sealed with proper silicone grommets.

Using this HID relay harness is a breeze. First, identify your vehicle's battery and locate the connection points for the headlights. The harness is designed for plug - and - play installation, so just match the connectors. The 1x 9006 Male input trigger should be connected to the appropriate part of your car's electrical system, and the 2x 9006 Female ballast outputs are for your HID ballasts. The ground and 12V power connections, which are nickel - plated ring - types, need to be attached securely. Make sure the inline 25A fuse is in place to protect the system. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the seals. The relays are sealed with ribbed silicone to protect against the elements, and all other connections have silicone grommets. Check these seals regularly, especially if you drive in harsh conditions. If you notice any signs of wear or damage, it's a good idea to replace the affected parts. Also, if your vehicle has a can - bus system or a finicky pulsed headlight circuit, you may need to look into the Standalone Canbus or Mopar Spec harnesses from Morimoto. And remember, bi - Xenon projectors require High Beam Splitters.
