Red VS Blue Oil

You may wonder about the difference. Simply put, there's no difference other than the color! They perform equally well. The color is just for looks and helps you ensure the oil reaches all parts of the filter during cleaning and re - oiling. You can choose either color for great results.

Installation

STEP 1

Remove and Clean

• Wipe the sealing area of the filter and housing with a soft, clean rag.
• Tap the filter on a hard surface to get rid of large particles. A soft brush can help with stubborn debris or bugs.
• Use S&B’s Filter Cleaner to clean the filter.
• Rinse the cleaner out gently with low - pressure water.
• Let the filter dry for at least 24 hours.

STEP 2

Fill & Apply

• Fill the applicator with the right amount of oil for your filter.
• Starting halfway from the base, make 2 - 3 passes around the filter's circumference in the same area.
• Repeat evenly.

STEP 3

Inspect and Install

• Let the oil soak in for 20 - 30 minutes.
• Check for any white, oil - free areas on the filter.
• Use the remaining oil in the applicator to cover those areas.
• Don't over - oil the filter.
