Using the BD Diesel 1040023 Killer Frost Plug Plate is a breeze. First, check if you have a 2003 - 2019 Dodge Ram with a 5.9L or 6.7L Cummins engine. If it's a 6.7L Cummins, you'll need to remove the bell housing support bracket before installation. But here's the great part - you don't have to remove the existing frost plug. Just take the plate and bolt it on. It works whether the frost plug is in place, blown out, or leaking. The plate comes with 1 #333 O - Ring and five flanged head bolts to keep the coolant contained. It can work with or without the TCC crossover tube. For maintenance, just check the bolts regularly to make sure they're tight and the O - Ring is in good condition. If you notice any leaks or issues, give it a quick inspection and make the necessary adjustments.
