The Sinister Diesel Universal Coolant Filter Kit is a must - have for your Duramax, Powerstroke, or Cummins - powered diesel truck. It works to eliminate harmful contaminants like casting sand, metal shavings, rust, and mineral deposits from your engine's cooling system. These particles can lower your truck's cooling efficiency, cause overheating, breakdowns, and damage to water pump bearings and EGR cooler passages. With this kit, your cooling system will run at its best, extending the life of your vehicle.
This kit comes with all the mounts and fittings needed for installation. It's crafted from 6061 billet aluminum. The filter boss has 2 threaded inlet ports and 1 outlet port. Sinister advises replacing the first filter at 500 miles, and the second and third filters after every 3,000 miles. After three filter changes, you can replace the filter once a year.

Using the Sinister Diesel Universal Coolant Filter Kit is easy. Install the filter block using the mounting bracket and the provided hardware. Connect the silicone hoses to the appropriate ports on the filter block and your truck's cooling system. Make sure to use the correct size hoses (3/8, 5/8, or 3/4 inch).
When it comes to filter replacement, replace the first filter after 500 miles of use. Then, replace the second and third filters after every 3,000 miles.
