Using your EBC S2 Kits is straightforward. First, make sure if you're upgrading pads, do it on both front and rear or just the front. When installing, don't worry about removing the Thermic Black coating on the rotors; it'll come off on its own. After installation, the first 10 to 20 stops will let the brake pads remove the coating in the swept area.
Here are some important notes. Never use brake cleaner or other methods to remove the Thermic Black coating, or you'll void the EBC warranty. Also, don't upgrade the rear pads unless you've upgraded the front ones.
For maintenance, regularly check your brake pads for wear. If they seem thin, it's time to replace them. Keep an eye on the rotors too, and if you notice any strange noises or vibrations when braking, have them inspected.
