Using these EBC slotted front rotors is straightforward. First, don't forget the rule: only fit upgraded pads to the rear if you've done the same to the front. When it comes to the Thermic Black coating, just leave it as it is during installation. There's no need to use brake cleaner or any other way to take it off. Once you install the rotors on your vehicle, within the first 10 to 20 stops, the brake pads will naturally remove the coating in the swept area. This coating is there to protect the rotors from rust for a long time, so don't try to remove it on purpose, or it won't be covered by the EBC warranty. Regarding maintenance, regularly check the rotors for any signs of wear and tear. If you notice any strange noises or reduced braking performance, it might be time to have them inspected by a professional.
