Product Details

This is an upper ball joint set perfect for 2003 - 2018 Cummins Trucks. The EMF Ball Joints are a game - changer. They're fully serviceable, rebuildable, and come with a lifetime warranty. That means you'll never need to buy another set of ball joints for your truck! Once you sense movement, you can adjust the ball joint right on the knuckle without removing it. The oversized ball joints are ideal for those who've replaced their ball joints more than 3 times, have Moog Knurled Body Ball Joints, or have stretched knuckle holes. The body's outer diameter is machined larger to fit the looser knuckle holes. Part Number: EMF - 7394.1 - PD. Features include (2) upper ball joints, being serviceable, greaseable, rebuildable, made in Canada, having a lifetime warranty, including an install tool, a patented removable race pin, and being made of 4140 HTSR material. It comes with (x2) Upper Ball Joints (EMF - 7394.1). With 2 Canadian and US Patents, the EMF ball joints offer great value. You can easily rebuild them by simply replacing the inner race and pin, no need to remove the housing from the knuckle. Servicing is a breeze too - just back out the set screw, tighten the cap, and replace the screw. Grease it every oil change. Each EMF Steering Component is 100% Canadian - made in Alberta. EMF has a strict quality assurance policy. Their ball joints are priced below competitors, offering high - quality at an affordable price. They're made of 4140 HTSR material and nitride - coated for a 30% strength increase and corrosion resistance. Note that the 7460 - 4007 Upper Ball Joint Installation Tool might be required. Pressing the ball joint with a die on the cap can damage the cap threads. You can buy the install tool separately. EMF offers a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects, but it doesn't cover misuse, improper installation, or other component failures. Regular maintenance like tightening the cap and greasing is needed to maximize product life.

Using your EMF ball joints is straightforward. First, make sure you have the right tools. If your ball joint press kit doesn't have a die with an ID of at least 1.93 inches and a depth of at least 0.86 inches, you'll need to buy the 7460 - 4007 Upper Ball Joint Installation Tool. When installing, avoid pressing the ball joint with a die on the cap as it can damage the cap threads. If you choose not to use the tool, EMF isn't responsible for any cap damage. For the lower ball joint, use the install tool to prevent damaging the ring when pressing it into the knuckle. Maintenance is key. Every time you change your oil, give the ball joints a couple of squirts of grease. If you start to feel movement in the joint, back out the set - screw on the side of the cap, tighten the cap, and then replace the set - screw. This can all be done without removing the ball joint from the knuckle. Over time, the internal races and pin will wear, but they're only covered by the warranty if there's a manufacturer defect. Keep up with regular maintenance to get the most out of your ball joints. And remember, EMF offers a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects, but misuse or improper installation won't be covered.
