The factory Can - Am X3 shock tower brace is far from perfect. In extreme conditions, it often cracks or buckles under stress. Our brace is machined from a large piece of 6061 aluminum. It not only looks great but is also incredibly strong. Our added gusset plate properly connects the brace to the front bulkhead. The factory's single - shear shock mounting puts most of the shock pressure on the side of the mounting bolt. Our gusset plate turns it into a double - shear mount, making it much stronger. Using this shock tower brace is a breeze. First, make sure your Can - Am Maverick X3 is from 2017 - 2022. Since it has factory bolt hole mounting, you don't need to drill any new holes. Just align the brace and gusset plate with the existing holes and use the Grade 8 hardware to secure them in place. When it comes to maintenance, keep an eye on the black anodized finish of the billet shock tower and the gloss black powder coat of the gusset plate. If you notice any signs of chipping or fading, you can touch them up to prevent corrosion. Also, check the bolts regularly to ensure they are tight.
