Using this oil filter is straightforward. It directly replaces your stock oil filter, so no need for an adapter. Just follow the installation instructions you can access by clicking the provided link. As for maintenance, keep in mind that this filter has a long life, thanks to its large surface area and high - efficiency design. It can capture dirt and debris down to 5 microns, which means your engine oil will stay cleaner for longer. You can use both conventional and synthetic oils with this filter. If you had installed the CAT adapter before, you can switch back using the PPE 114000551 OEM Adapter Replacement. Also, note that the bypass of this filter is 10 PSI over OEM, and it increases oil capacity by one quart. Check it regularly for any signs of clogging or damage, and replace it when necessary.
