The new Snap - In lid design lets you easily check your filter. No screws are needed, making installation a breeze. The kit comes with a large, high - efficiency air filter that boosts performance and safeguards your engine.
Choose from 8 - layer Cotton Cleanable or Dry Extendable options. The Cleanable filter is perfect for city and highway driving, away from dusty roads. It lasts long and can be cleaned with the S&B Cleaning Kit. The Dry filter is for trucks in dusty areas. You can extend its life by blowing it with compressed air and then dispose of it when it's used up.
The air filter, coupler, lid seal, and box plug are all made of silicone. Silicone is a premium rubber that seals well and lasts long. It can handle temperatures up to 400F without cracking or tearing.
More air means better performance. This intake has two air inlet points: a large top scoop 16.3% bigger than stock and a secondary front opening. S&B offers an optional box plug to adjust the air intake.
Stock intake boxes often cause poor airflow, so S&B designs custom air boxes with extra or enlarged openings. They also include a plug to seal the opening if you want cooler air. For best performance, use the intake without the plug, except in extreme heatwaves.
The Ranger intake uses your stock air temperature sensor with a crankcase breather connection for a perfect fit.

Using the S&B Cold Air Intake is simple. First, use the included instructions to install it. The Snap - In lid design makes it easy to access the filter. For maintenance, if you chose the 8 - layer Cotton Cleanable filter and drive mainly on city and highway roads, clean it with the S&B Cleaning Kit regularly. If you have the Dry Extendable filter and often drive in dusty areas, blow it out with compressed air to extend its life. When it's worn out, just dispose of it. In normal conditions, use the intake without the box plug for better performance. But during extreme heatwaves, you can use the plug to seal the secondary opening. Remember, this intake is not street - legal in all US states, so check your local regulations before using it.
