Using this auxiliary heated fuel filter kit is straightforward. First, make sure you have a Fleece Performance fuel filter delete installed, as it's required for this product. The kit comes with all the parts you need for installation, like a fuel filter base with a heater, a Donaldson filter, hoses, and fittings. Connect everything from the Fleece Performance lift pump to the injection pump following the included instructions. When it comes to maintenance, the Donaldson filter is low - cost, so you can save money in the long run. Just replace it regularly as per the manufacturer's recommendations. Keep an eye on the Water - In - Fuel (WIF) sensor. If it detects water in the fuel, take appropriate action. The heating element has specific temperature switching points. It turns on at around 28.4F (give or take 5.4F) and turns off at about 48.2F (give or take 5.4F). At normal fuel flow, it will increase the fuel temperature by 4 - 8F. If you're using a stock OE sending unit on the fuel tank, you'll need to get the Part Number FPE - QUCON - OE - 38 for the connection. This kit has a 1 - year limited warranty on parts only, so if something goes wrong with the parts during this time, you can get it sorted out.
