BD Dana 70

Using this rear differential cover is simple. First, make sure your vehicle is from the 1981 - 2002 Dodge with a 5.9L Cummins engine and is compatible with auto trans and Dana 60 or 70. Install the cover as you would with a regular differential cover. When filling the oil, use the fill plug. The extra - capacity sump at the bottom helps the gears pick up oil easily. As for maintenance, regularly check the magnetic drain plug. It will attract metal particles, which can indicate if there's excessive wear in the gears. Also, look at the cooling fins to ensure they are clean and not blocked. If you need to remove the cover, don't worry about gaskets; the reusable Viton O - Ring makes it convenient for future use.
