Using these connecting rods is straightforward. First, make sure your engine is the 2003 - 2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. Since they are honed to factory specifications, they should fit factory pistons right out of the box, so no need to do any clearancing. When installing, pay attention to the Tongue & Groove with locator design to properly align and lock the cap. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the ARP L19 3/8' Fasteners. Make sure they are tightened properly at regular intervals. These rods can handle high horsepower, but if you push it too hard consistently, it might affect their lifespan. The standard shot - peened finish is durable, but if you choose the polished finish, be a bit more careful as it might be more prone to minor scratches. Also, check the balance of the set every once in a while to ensure it stays within the +/- 1 gram standard.
